Getting so big : )

My "Lil B" aka Brightyn will be 2 in a few months. She is getting to be such a big girl. We recently converted her crib into a toddler bed in hopes that on her 2nd birthday I can put her in her big girl/full size bed. She has adjusted so well. She is unable to open her bedroom door so when she wakes up in the morning, she yells "mom, where are you?" and knocks on her door. I was amazed at how well she made the transition. Also, today marks day 5 with NO binky. About 5 months ago we tried taking it away. It was gone for 6 days and we finally gave in. She cried for it everyday and asked about it. This time, she actually bit the nipple and it broke. I told myself, this is it, now is the time. That first day was rough. She cried so hard for an hour on that first nap and I was able to clam her down by rubbing her back. It just got better after that. She asked about her binky for a few days, and when she did, i gave it to her adn told her it was broke. She has yet to ask for it today at all. I am so glad we finally stuck to it and did not give in. It will be one less thing to worry about. She has been talking nonstop lately as well and I did not want it to inhibit her speech at all. Here are a few fun pics :)

" I wanna put my jammies on."
Sissy love.
Kinlee had her last day of preschool a few weeks ago. She is really missing her friends. The preschool she is going to next year offers weekly summer camps so I signed her up for some of them so she can meet some other kids her age and go have some fun. Her first class little chefs. I am so excited for her to go. I really hope we meet some people in the neighborhood. It is kinda sad to go outside and have nobody else around to talk to and play with.

That makes me laugh so hard that you showed her the binkie and told her it was broken. To imagine a 2 year old processing that. lol That's the best when you dread change and your kid does so well. I guess that's when you know the timing was right! I was amazed at how much Sam started talking after the binkie was gone.
