We LOVE summertime...

I have been majorly slacking lately at doing any blog posts, so I wanted to tell everyone just how much we LOVE summer. We are ALWAYS on the go, always outside, at a park, at a pool, in the front yard... Derk was off on Friday so we headed up to Silver Lake to walk around. It was so beautiful, and the little squirrel things (pot guts?) were in full force so we gave them peanuts galore.

Saturday was TVille Dayzz, we go every year to the parade and then to the fireworks show at night. This year they had the carnival rides, so we went on a few with Kinlee. I had the bright idea to take her in this funhouse thing and it was a huge mistake. Here I am 7 months pregnant climbing rope walls, and squeezing through tunnels and flying down a slide.

Midnight... KooKoo hair Kinlee.

Less than 9 weeks to go before baby Brightyn arrives. I am extremely nervous about making it a smooth transition for Kinlee. It has always been just the two of us and ALL my attention goes to her, and once the baby comes around, obviously my time will be divided in two... I want her to feel as much a part of everything as I can. Kinlee will be the best big sister ever. This morning when Kinlee woke up I went and laid in her bed with her to cuddle and she leaned up against me and said, "mom, you are my best friend ever". and we are that. She is my best friend (even though she drives me crazy sometimes :). Hope everyone is having a fun summer.

The Name Game...

So from the time we found out we were having a girl, the name "Berklee" came to mind and that is what we have been calling our soon to be little one... Well, the other day I thought of the name Brighton (which I always thought would be cool for a boy), and then I saw a little girl named Brighton. They spelled it Brightyn, and I freakin love it! So I wanted to see what everyone thought. Which do you like better, and why? A little history behind Brighton... I grew up learning to ski and snowboard there. It is the ONLY place I will go still to this day. Not only does it represent Utah, but it holds memories for me. (Emily, you know what I mean). So let me know what you think. "Brightyn"!
